In all seriousness, I work for trans-Europe company and understanding cultural differences is critical to getting yourself listened too and being able to understand. Being able to get on a web-cam and chat with a ‘local’ is a golden opportunity to get an insight into how the rest of Europe thinks (I’m from the UK if you didn’t already figure that out!)

Just thought I´d let you know that Maná is a Mexican band and that Julieta Venegas was born in Long Beach (California) but comes from a Mexican family. In fact, she grew up in Tijuana and then moved to Mexico D.F. where she joined other bands! They are very famous in Spain though like Manu Chao (he´s French but his parents are Spanish) or Shakira (she´s Colombian). David Bisbal is from Almería (South of Spain) and became famous after winning a show similar to X-Factor called Operación Triunfo.

There´s lots of other Spanish singers that I recommend you listening to, such as Amaral, Nena Daconte, Taxi, El Canto del Loco, Alejandro Sanz, Second, Belén Arjona, Joaquín Sabina, Joan Manuel Serrat, Zahara, Love of Lesbian, Iván Ferreiro, Pereza, Alex Ubago, Enrique Bunbury, David Bustamante, Ismael Serrano, Luz Casal, Sergio Dalma, Revólver, Pasión Vega, Falete, Niña Pastori, Malú, Mikel Erentxun, Pedro Guerra, Antonio Orozco, Manu Tenorio, Alaska, Diego el Cigala, El Bicho, Fito y Fitipaldis, Manolo García, Enrique Urquijo, Hombres G, Mojinos Escozios, Manu Carrasco, etc.
